How to solve MB SD C4 Insert Batteryi and Initialization Failed

Possible reason
He has not got the MB SD C4 connected with Dell D630 laptop to build communication.

Check the SD Connect C4 icon on the bottom of the toolbar, power on the SDConnect and connect the diagnostic scanner with computer, if the #21 device displays in “x” status,it indicates the C4 multiplexer is not well connected or well configured,how to tell:
1.Open laptop Local Network Connection->SD C4 WLAN disconnect then connect to check if network connection has changed. If the network remains unchanged,change another laptop and do the same setting.
2.If network status did not change on any laptops,then change a new LAN cable.If still no changes,you have to send back your SD C4 main unit for repair.

How to solve BMW INPA K+CAN driver won?t install

My BMW had ASC/ABS and Brake pads light on … I checked and one sensor from brake pads was broken, then I changed the sensor but still had a ASC/ABS and hand Brake led on……If I leave the car without battery one night, the led will go off , but will come on again randomly.China OBD2

Then I bought an BMW K+DCan for 17.99USD and I can´t install the driver , my laptop is Samsung R510… Inpa and Ediabas work Fine … I installed win xp and didn´t work so I changed the HDD whit windows 7 x64 to give a try… But same problem.
I tried to install CDM v2.12.00 WHQL Certified.exe, run it as administrator, run it in win xp sp3 but nothing.

I tryed the manual method, but windows say “can´t find anything in that folder” (I downloaded the older version of driver and Unrar it 2.04)
this is my cable:
I right click on the USB/UART device and go to properties, then the details tab, and look at the hardware ID, it is
USB\VID_0403&PID_0000&REV_0600  Auto Repair

You can fix it by going to the downloaded driver files, and into the ftdibus.inf and ftdiport.inf files.
Scroll down and you’ll see a list of the VID and PID data, you can edit the PID stuff to read 0000 like your lead, and then reinstall it, so find every instance of “PID_6001” and change it to “PID_0000” which should mean that the driver will recognise and accept the lead to work with.

1. Backup EPROM: backup car EPROM data;
2. Restore EPROM: copy the backed up EPROM data onto the car computer, to restore it to the original state;
3. Make dealer key: use the backed up EPROM data to write a blank new key to be a dealer key that can be programmed directly;
4. Add key (OBD): use the customized or generated dealer key to directly program key, applicable for the smart card;

Make dealer key
1. This function can generate a dealer key to be programmed, then use this key to perform “Add key” operation;
2. For a smart key, please turn off and on the ignition, and then click OK; otherwise click OK directly;
3. The system read out the part number, now is going through security certification, and loading external code;
4. Getting system data, it takes about 2 min, please be patient;
5. Please choose to vehicle brand;
6. Please insert the blank key to be programmed into the K518ISE card slot;
7. Make dealer key success.

Add key (OBD)
1. This system is suitable for directly programming smart card dealer key.

Directly add key(suitable for folding dealer key directly programming)
1. This function can directly add a dealer key to the immobilizer system, please put the new key into the coil, and connect the host to the car OBD port;
2. For a smart key, please turn off and on the ignition, and then click OK; otherwise click OK directly;
3. The system read out the part number, now is going through security certification, and loading external code;
4. Getting system data, it takes about 2 min, please be patient;
5. Writing immodata, about 2 minutes, please be patient;
6. Add key complete.
Delete key
1. This function can delete an existing key;
2.The process of this function:
Step 1. Read anti-theft data Step 2. Select an existed key Step 3. Write back immodata;

4. The system read out the part number, now is going through security certification, and loading external code;

Reset dashboard
1. Establishing communication, the system is resetting the dashboard;

Odometer adjustment
1. This process can read and calibrate the odometer mileage;
2. if the car is a smart key, please turn off the ignition and then turn on the ignition, and then click OK, otherwise click OK;
3. Read the current mileage;
4. Going through security certification and loading external code, getting data, it takes about 2 minutes;
5. Please enter the new mileage needed to be calibrated ;

How to use Genuine Lishi TOY43R 2in1

Genuine Lishi TOY43R 2in1 locksmith tool, how to use:

Despite only having 8 positions on this pick decoder , this tool is for the 10 Cut TOY43R lock and not the 8 cut toy43 lock with the 2 split wafer positions in it.

The reason this tool only has 8 of the 10 positions on it , is due to the door lock only housing 8 of the 10 cuts , only the ignition houses all 10 wafers . Once the door lock is picked and decoded , the 8 decoded and known cuts are entered into instacode , and the cutting tree will give you the remaining 2 cuts required for the ignition. Position 1 and 2 are found in the ignition lock only , so the tool grid is numbered 3 to 10.

The Lishi TOY43 2in1 pick is a very quick pick and decode for this very widely used Toyota lock , and will simplify producing the key blade for this lock and greatly simplify the entire gain entry process on this lock.
My own experience with this tool is to gain entry in under a minute generally and pick and decode in under 5 mins every time, so far without fail.

There is no proven picking sequence as yet with this particular tool , be careful not to overlift , as the No 4 cuts need no lift at all as these are already set to open as soon as tension is applied , so the more No 4 cuts the lock has in it , the simpler it will be to pick open.

Only a light to medium tension is required , and if a wafer has any movement at all , do not lift it at all !.

The lock has no preference to picking direction , and is easily picked to either direction , in addition the lock doesn’t need to be picked first , you can direct decode this with the 2in1 by applying turning tension and reading each position. However a more accurate decode is always achieved if picked first and held in the picked position, especially on worn locks.

The Picking Process

When picking this lock , the most common mistake is too much tension and overlifting , too much tension almost always leads to overlifting a wafer .

I cant stress enough the need to use only a light to medium tension and have full control over the lifting arm at all times.
Prior to picking i always advise flushing the lock out well with WD40 / GT85 or similar , this will help maximise feel during the picking process .

As I have already mentioned above , the No 4 wafers are already set and need no lift what so ever is needed to set these , so gently tickling each position to feel for any slight movement is essential , so when probing for a binding wafer it is essential that you don’t lift any wafer more than a ¼ mm , just a tiny tickle will confirm if binding or moving , if moving then leave well alone, as overlifting a No 4 cut is a common reason for failure to pick this lock.

As the lock has no confirmed preferred picking sequence , it is simple and traditional picking process of tickling each position no more than a ¼ mm to find a binding wafer , if it moves at all leave it alone, if it binds lift it just one grid increment at a time until movement is felt when tickling, so pick a binding wafer 1 x grid increment , then tickle it ¼ mm to see if moving or still binding, if still binding then pick another grid increment until movement is felt.

As long as you only lift a binding wafer , then once each binding wafer has movement the lock will open , demonstrated in the picture guide below.

Picking The TOY43 lock

Begin by fully inserting the Lishi TOY43 tool into the lock and apply a light to medium tension

Find the 1st Binding wafer and then each binding wafer in turn
In this Lock position 3 is the 1st to bind & pick

Position 8 is the next to bind and pick

Position 6 is the next to bind and pick

Position 5 is the next to bind and pick

Position 5 binds and picks again and the lock opens.

This particular lock was picked in under a minute so was a fairly simple differ to pick open due to the amount of No 4 cuts in the lock. As positions 4 , 7 , 9 and 10 didnt need picking , this confirms to us that these are No 4 cuts , the below decode process should confirm this.

Decoding the TOY43 lock using the Lishi 2in1 locksmith tool 

This lock can be direct decoded , without the need for it being picked first , the process is to apply firm tension and decode each position using the same process as decoding when picked , however on worn locks the odd misleading reading can happen, so we advise picking first for best and most accurate results.

As this is a twin lifter tool , we decode in the same direction as we picked in , pushing the lifting arm across the numbered line and reading the cut height from where it stops using the numbered lines on the right hand side grid.

The process is as simple as hold the lock in the picked position and read each position 3 to 10 as below .

Position 3 is a No 3 cut

Position 4 is confirmed as a No 4 cut

Position 5 is a No 2 cut

Position 6 is a No 2 cut

Position 7 is confirmed as a No 4 cut

Position 8 is a No 3 cut

Position 9 is confirmed as a No 4 cut

Position 10 is also confirmed as a No 4 cut

This gives us the majority of the key cuts needed , and gives us the 10 cut key from bow to tip of ??34224344 , so we enter this into instacode , and it gives us the cutting tree , which in this case was 1 of several possible keys that would use a maximum of 2 blanks to find correct key.

However , despite the fact that this tool is not designed for the ignition , i insert the tool fully into the ignition and feel for the 1st 2 wafers , it wont line up to a grid position accurately , but when a light tension is applied to the lock and you have found the 1st 2 wafers the cut height grid is still accurate and the front 2 positions can be directly decoded , so the entire key can be read .

In doing this the entire key was 2134224344 .

So despite the tool not being constructed to read the ignition , with a little forsight it is possible to read the missing wafers in position 1 and 2 by a little lateral thinking.

How to Register Lonsdor K518 best key programmer?
After system updating, you need go to registration&activation.
For new user,
Click on Registration,
Input: user name(email), name(min 2 char), password(min 6 char), email verification code
Click on YES
Lonsdor K518I registration completes
(if interrupted after registration is done, you will go to the System update–Registered user to proceed).

Then go to Activation confirmation to continue.

How to Activate Lonsdor K518I car key programmer tool?

After confirming activation, it will go the password Setup interface
set 6-digit numbers as your startup password
information verification by Lonsdor
(5-30 minutes, you can check the progress by clicking “Refresh” )
re-enter the password to verify
get the notification that verification successful

The most important note:

Foxwell NT510 and iCarsoft Feedback on Jaguar X350

Car model and year: 2004 XJ Super V8.
Problem: parking sensor problems
Tools to use and test reports:

  1. I use a iCarsoft and it’s good reads live data so it will tell you what sensor has a fault.
  2. I have the same problem with my 2004 VDP, the parking alarm goes off for 3 secs and they do not work when reversing.

I week ago, I purchased an icarsoft i930 and under the “Parking aid control module” it gave me a C-1707 – Rear Left Center Sensor Failure (which is correct)

I saw that since the parking sensors are “sonic” i.e. they give out a very quiet “clicking noise” all 3 rear sensors were clicking except the one identified with the i930.

I have to say that I had a problem with the i930 that under the “ECU” section it gave me the “Fault in communication with vehicle ECU”.

(This fault also appears on other posts re scanners) I called the distributor I purchased it from and he said the better jaguar scanner was the Foxwell 510 and I have since upgraded to that model.

I am now waiting for the Foxwell 510 to arrive and will report back.

Foxwell NT510 scanner for Jaguar
Just received the new Foxwell 510 scanner for Jaguar and I am very impressed.
It had no problem communicating with all the modules on the 2004 XJ8 VDP it also shown up c-1430 and C-1707 rear left center sensor fault which will get done this week, hopefully.

So far ready like this scanner, comes with an excellent handbook, plus a CD with the handbook on, 59 pages much more complete than the icarsoft i930.

This scanner will do much more than I will ever need it for!!!

Who sells the Foxwell scanner? It doesn’t appear that they do direct sales.
Original Foxwell $155 doesn’t need to pay for Jaguar software, but can add up to 5 car brands, 70usd/one brand.
